Steam
This guide requires that you own Among Us on Steam.
Note: This guide works as-is on Steam Deck, but controller support is imperfect. You will need to use a mouse and keyboard to play, or do a lot of controller configuration.
You must downgrade Among Us to be able to play at this time. This is due to the latest version of Among Us (v.174) causing instability with mods. It is recommended to install v1.6.2 or v1.6.3 Beta 2 of Town of Us: Mira.
Follow the downgrade steps below.
Downgrading
1. Right-click Among Us on Steam, then click Properties.
2. Click Betas and select
public previouson the drop-down.
Steam should automatically update the game to v17.3, then you can follow the installation steps below.
Mod Installation
1. Download the latest steam-itch.zip folder for Town of Us: Mira.
2. Go to your Steam library, right-click Among Us and click Manage > Browse Local Files
3. In the File Explorer, navigate to the common folder and duplicate your Among Us folder. Rename it to something like Among Us - TOU Mira.
4. Extract the contents of the .zip folder you downloaded and open it. Copy all the contents and paste them into the new TOU Mira folder. It should look like this example:
5. Right-click Among Us on Steam and click
Properties. In the Launch Options, enter the following:WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winhttp=n,b" %command%6. Launch from the game exe in your TOU Mira folder. If successful, it will display the Town of Us: Mira logo in the top left corner.
If you encounter issues installing, please join the Town of Us Discord server and make a Town of Us Support ticket in the TOU Support channel.
